XIII. Death
You see Death while on your journey and it seems ominous. A skeleton clad in almost all black, brandishing a flag with a white rose while riding a white horse. On his helmet is a single red feather, the same feather you saw on the fool, the same feather that you will see later. Everything isn't so separate and defined as you think. A king is dead at his horses feet and the pope seems to be trying to plead with him as a child watches. You can see the sun over the village in distance.
This is your "new day". Death is not here take anything away from you, but to help usher you through a dramatic transformation, that may feel like a rebirth. I often associate the feather that death wears with innocence, because the other characters that have this feather upon their head are innocent. He has a bad rep, but his only mission is to help those on the next step of their journey.
If this card is reversed, again, it doesn't mean literal death, but maybe you are a little depressed. When you are depressed sometimes you don't feel mentally as active and therefore you might not do as much physically. Depression can be hard but look beyond death in the forefront and look to the new day for the city in the distance. Day eventually comes.
