I always love when The High Priestess visits my reading. To me she is the embodiment of intuition and spirituality, a validation that you are listening and aware of your self and what you want. If you aren't listening to your intuition she is telling you, no matter who you are or what you think you are, there is more that you are not seeing. We all know when we are going against what feels right or natural, because it is an uneasy feeling or a feeling of emptiness. Look within yourself and see if she is validating or letting you know that you need to start doing what feels right for you.
As you look upon her you may be overwhelmed by the imagery, She wears the crown of an Egyptian Goddess, a cross around her neck, and holds a Torah in her hands. Maybe you have begun a new spiritual journey and found that it is helping you to understand yourself better. The moon at her feet further enhances the intuitive and reflective nature that she possess. The blue of her outfit emphasizes that she has found peace, and balance, and that this has a certain level of healing capabilities. All of these are within your grasp no matter where your spiritual journey takes you.
As you look at the tapestry you see the palms and pomegranates. Persephone, the only being allowed to travel between the living and the underworld in Greek mythology ate the pomegranate. You can travel between the world of the seen and known and the world that you think is beyond you. This is the world of infinite information that can help bring you a sense of harmony because it intuitively knows what you need. You do not need to fight or force anything, it is easily attainable when you follow your heart.
The palms also remind me of my Catholic upbringing. Later the palms will be made to ashes. I would like to look beyond the traditional idea of repenting to a higher being and that we all have sin and I want to offer a different view in light of talking to people. If you repent and believe in yourself, you too can forgive yourself. We have all made mistakes that we cannot change, but if you truly feel bad and do your best to repent, with time you can heal and forgive yourself. Once you do that you can get back on course to listening to your heart. That is surprisingly hard to do when you are busy beating yourself up.
The Pillars stand for negation and beginning. There is always time to change the course you are on, nothing in your life is written in stone. It is never too late to take steps to the life that you want. Whenever you forget that, look to pillars which often act as a form of support for a building. In this case you are the one that is now being supported.
One thing I would like to point out is that there is a lot to see as you observe the card, but if you look beyond the priestess and her tapestry there appears a vast amount of open water. I like to think that you can access that vast space, the vastness of the universe we live in, when you learn the lessons she is trying to teach us.
