X. The Wheel of Fortune
Your travels bring you to The Wheel of Fortune. While there is a giant wheel, hence the name, there are many other spiritual and mythical creatures that surround the wheel. The Sphinx sits atop the wheel holding a sword. Anubis, the god of the dead seems to be slithering up the side, while the snake, representing the God of destruction works his way down. I have grown to view the four figures that are in the corners of the card, as the writers of the Gospels. Some people believe these figures to be the Angels. Neither is right nor wrong, just different perceptions. Do not miss the Hebrew writing in the wheel either.
This card functions as a reminder that we are in a fluid state. Nothing is linear isolated and alone, rather everything functions together, a somewhat circular motion. The smoke in the background heightens the idea of being fluid, and not stuck. Our life works in cycles, constantly linking who we were, to who we will be, to who we are now. What shaped your past shaped your presence and even if you try to change your future your past caused you to want to make that change. There are no linear rules to spiritual growth and life.
This may signify a second chance to change things, seeing as things do not have to be linear. It also indicates a positive change. People may wonder about the Gods of Destruction and Death, that doesn't sound good. The only way one can rise from the ashes like a phoenix is to go through the destruction first. That is how miracles occur.
If you get this card there is good luck coming to you, maybe you don't see it yet, but it is coming.
